What Makes Us Special?
We admit to being quirky. We got our initiative from the tragedy of September 11. Rather than see friends and strangers suffer, we decided to help create jobs by specializing in items produced by work at home mothers, retirees and others who were displaced after the economy suffered post 2001. We have grown since then, but that remains an important part of our vendor base. We have scoured the globe to find the fun stuff that will allow you to interact with your pet at home or in the fresh outdoors. We also love to interact with our regular customers and make them feel at home here. We spend just as much time on our community efforts as we do running the store. This is why we are not a 24 hour turnaround store. You get different and unique items that we spend alot of time researching. We try not to blow a hole in your pocket by keeping certain expenses at a minimum. We also have some of the best coupons and contests in town. At HandsNpaws you'll find one of the largest and unique selections of the latest in toys, pet carriers, and travel related items. Since many "lifestyle pets" tend to be on the small side, we have a large selection of pet apparel too for pets who like to step out in coordinated attire. We are also one of the few stores to stock apparel for larger sized dogs as well because the larger dogs tend to be just the type for rugged sports and camping vacations. Many of our customers are also men. While we cater to customers in other regions and internationally, Arizona and West Coast Dog Owners are particularly welcome.

If it's about fun, travel, dress up, cosy comfort or solving everday pet issues like keeping the litter in the box and not in the living room, it is about HandnPaws. And because we know that People and Pets live together, our store is unique in catering to petowner needs as well.

We like getting to know our customers, please let us know if you do not see something you want and of course, we aim to please and improve. A Word About Designer Pet Attire and Carriers & Processing Times
Most people who shop at our store do so for unique one of a kind type products that are often made to order or by hand by independent designers. In many instances we have products made by individuals or family businesses. They are not mass produced goods, often seasonal, upscale and can take time to make. In addition, in order to provide you with the best selection possible, we do not stock everything at our warehouse. This is why our average processing time for most orders is 2 to 4 weeks. It could be shorter, but we just want to let you know so you're not worried if you're order does not ship same day. Our small staff focuses primarily on fulfillment of your order so we rely on your logging in to check the status rather than a daily email update. By all means, feel free to contact us if you have a rush or need more information on shipping, but please note that during rush periods, it may take a few days to respond with a small staff. This helps us keep our prices affordable. On occasion, because we work with mainly small designers, items may also be backordered up to six weeks. Please also note our non-business days as this will affect processing time.

These products are generally of much better quality than you'll find in your average pet store. In addition, we receive hundreds of orders a week, so it can happen that an entire inventory is depleted if there's a promotion such as the one we had for the Bitch collars in a recent publication or the Pet Umbrella that was featured on ABC. We post approximate times on our site for those who aren't familiar purchasing upscale custom products and provide a log-on feature so individuals can track the status of their order 24/7.

In addition, we encourage customers who need more certainty regarding shipping times to indicate a "ship by" date on their order. In such cases, we contact the customer directly within a day or two of their order placement with an estimated delivery date specific to that customer. If we do not make that date, the customer is fully refunded, we do not process that order and the customer is issued a coupon towards a future purchase.

Boa Sweater and Rosie Blankie
Just wanted to let you terrific girls know, I received my order yesterday. The sweater is absolutely adorable and fits perfectly. Dot, my little teeny, tiny poodle looks so darn cute in it! The blanket is beautiful and I am going to find a pet photographer (a little challenging in my area) to take a picture of my little girl in her sweater somehow incorporating her on the blanket as well. Bling Bones CB Couture Collection Gold Collar and Matching Leash
I received Isis's gold bling bones collar and leash today... you were right they are SPECTACULAR!!! As far a my review goes, the collar fits perfectly, the measurements were great, the detail on both the collar and leash are unbelieveable.... they were both so well put together. The amazing thing is that the detail is so intricate, but both appear to be extremely durable, truly items intended for canines. Amazing. The perfect blend of form and function, I know they are for a dog, but anyone who has a dog they love, it is totally without question worth it, and possibly the best items intended for canines I have ever seen. Now to my more important point of this email... I know that I have thanked you a billion times but... I cannot thank you enough. You have to be the kindest person I have ever had the great fortune of coming across when ordering something. Your patience was so appreciated.. every time I messed up an order you were there to fix it. You never forgot about me, and you made sure I was taken care of no matter what. You just don't find that anywhere... ever. Without your help, I'm pretty certain I would not have been able to procure those items for Isis, and it was very important to me as she is very important to me.
